We offer a 24/7 crisis hotline for victims and survivors who need immediate assistance. Our trained staff can provide you with information, support, and guidance to help you make the best decisions for yourself and your family.
Our temporary shelter provides a safe and supportive environment for individuals who are fleeing abuse and violence. We offer a safe place to stay and a range of services to help you rebuild your life.
We offer legal advocacy services to help clients navigate the legal system. Our staff can help you obtain a protection order, accompany you to court hearings, and access other legal resources that can help you protect yourself and your children.
We offer resources, referrals and emergency assistance programs to survivors. Very often survivors of abuse and violence face financial constraints and our programs can help. Programs and resources are dependent on funding availability at time of request.
Our staff can provide eligible victims of violent crimes with Crime Victims Application and assistance in filling out the application, obtaining documents and filing the application. Please talk to your victim advocate to see if you are eligible.
SAVIN is the a statewide automated victim information and notification system to provide electronic notifications of offender's release, offender court hearings and change of offender's status or location. Your victim advocate can help you register or you can go to http://saving.sd.gov.
Since our inception, we have helped hundreds of women, men and children fleeing domestic violence with a safe place to stay, food and resources. The stories of survivors inspire us to continue our mission of ending violence in our homes and communities.
